A fantastic pop-up in the former Romney shed at Nautix Harbour. BAUT Hangar has an industrial, warm atmosphere as well as a waterside terrace. Quite a special combination! BAUT Hangar is versatile and flexible and offers space for many different types of events. The venue has a capacity of 140 people for a sit-down dinner and 300 people for a walking dinner.
For BAUT Hangar, we are looking for a Head Chef. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for the kitchen and lead a young and enthusiastic team. You assign work, monitor the progress and execution quality of work and you are the contact person for the restaurant manager. You will apply your culinary experience to work effectively with suppliers, control food costs/food waste and train staff to ensure consistency across all BAUT kitchens. You can communicate well and you will be an inspiration to the rest of the team to keep improving the guest experience at BAUT. Process your own creativity by contributing to the development of new dishes together with the team of chefs within BAUT.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU?
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar culinary leadership role, preferably
at a similar restaurant. - Extensive knowledge of culinary trends, food preparation techniques and menu engineering.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a high-volume restaurant and group dinners simultaneously.
