BAUT, a name synonymous with adventure and culinary discovery. It started as a temporary concept on WiBAUTstraat, but grew into a journey of seven different locations in eight years. From hidden gems to bustling hotspots, BAUT has captured the hearts of foodies with its unique concept and unparalleled hospitality. Besides its first permanent location on Stadionweg called Bar BAUT, BAUT is also a welcome guest at festivals such as Winter Paradise and Terrassenfestival, where it shows its culinary prowess to a wider audience.
Now, after this journey full of surprises, BAUT Oost has returned to where it all began - the lively Wibautstraat. But BAUT's story does not end here. In 2024, BAUT Backstage opened its doors above the Ziggo Dome, a new destination for foodies and music lovers. With its signature motto "underpromise & overdeliver", BAUT remains true to its promise to surprise and spoil every guest with an unforgettable culinary experience.
Michiel van der Eerde
Chef Michiel van der Eerde is the owner of the BAUT catering group, the founder of the BAUT concept and a former jury member of Masterchef Netherlands. Michiel has endless energy and is very innovative. For example, he published a cookbook and participated in the programme Snackmasters. Despite his busy schedule, he can be found behind the pans of his restaurants with great regularity, making him a very committed teacher.

BAUT East
At this location on Wibautstraat, everyone is welcome, from 11 am you can join us for the finest lunch classics. The bar part of BAUT offers enough space to work, have an extensive lunch and let it all turn into drinks. The evenings are dedicated to delicious food, cocktails and wines, with our bar as the shining centrepiece. The menu mostly features smaller dishes to share. Besides our regular restaurant evenings, we regularly have events such as Oysterfest or Dimsunday.
Bar BAUT
At our location on Stadionweg, you come for a business lunch, an intimate dinner or drinks with your neighbour. It's a cosy place where regulars and day-trippers congregate. At Bar BAUT, we do away with the rigidity of traditional fine dining. Forget the standard starter, main and dessert. Our dishes are intermediate and therefore ideal for sharing or creating your own menu. On our large sunny terrace, enjoy a cocktail with oysters.
BAUT Backstage
BAUT Backstage is BAUT's newest restaurant, located above the Ziggo Dome's main entrance. BAUT Backstage is exclusively open during concerts and events at the Ziggo Dome. Whenever possible, we tailor the menu and the entire pre-concert experience to the artist performing. A real extension of a night out. Of course, there are also evenings when we serve our delicious BAUT classics à la carte. Backstage is also the right place for a business event. One thing is for sure; there is a lot happening at BAUT Backstage!
